The Effect of Plant Growth Regulator TA Emulsive Powder on the Yield and Quality of Kelp

Abstract:

At present, the breeding area of kelp in China is about 15000 hectares, and annual yield of dry product is 270 000 tonnes accounting for 50% of the total yield of seaweed in the world. TA emulsive powder can remarkably increase the yield and improve the quality of kelp. After the kelp seedling soaked in 2 mg/L TA solution for 2 hours and then put into breeding, the growth of rhizoid can be promoted and the seedling preservation rate can be raised, the content of chlorophyll and fucoxanthin increased, photosynthesis rate raised, accumulation of dry substance increased, activity of PEP carboxylase raised, metabolism of carbon promoted, activity of nitric-reductase raised, metabolism of nitrogen promoted, absorption of nitrogen, phosporous, potassium increased, growth and development promoted, contents of nucleic acid and protein raised, physiological adjusmtent strengthened, anti-disease property strengthened, rate of incidence of disease reduced. The yield of dry substance increased by 6.5 t per hectar in average compated with the treatment on the blank, that is increased by 35% . At the sametime, 24.24 kg iodine, 1.665t brown alg gum, and 1.278 t mannitol in kelp are increased per hectar. TA emulsive powder is a pioneer product at home and abroad. It has the advantages of non-toxic, high efficiency, low cost, no deterioration and convenience in storage and transport, etc. It has been popularized in 15 000 hectares in the whole country and the economic benefit is more than 300 million yuan.

Fibroblast growth factor 21: a novel metabolic regulator from pharmacology to physiology

Abstract:

Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family. It actually functions as endocrine hormones but does not regulate cell growth and differentiation. It is demonstrated that FGF21 acts on multiple tissue to coordinate carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, including enhancing insulin sensitivity, decreasing triglyceride concentrations, causing weight loss, ameliorating obesity-associated hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia. Moreover, FGF21 also plays important roles in some physiological processes, such as fasting and feeding, growth hormone axis and thermogenic function of brown adipose tissue. Clinical relevance of FGF21 in humans is still unclear, and the basis and consequences of increased FGF21 in metabolic disease remain to be determined. Both the pharmacological actions and physiological roles make FGF21 attractive drug candidates for treating metabolic disease, but some questions remain to be answered. This article concentrates on recent advances in our understanding of FGF21.

Abstract: In this paper, three optimal linear algorithms are proposed for first-order linear from a perspective with cost functions consisting of both interaction energy cost and individual energy cost, because both the collective object (such as formation or consensus) and the individual goal of each agent are very important for the overall system. First, we propose the optimal formation algorithm for first-order without initial physical couplings. The parameter matrix of the algorithm is the solution to an . It is shown that the matrix is the sum of a Laplacian matrix and a positive definite diagonal matrix. Next, for physically interconnected , the optimal formation algorithm is presented, and the corresponding parameter matrix is given from the solution to a group of quadratic equations with one unknown. Finally, if the communication topology between agents is fixed, the local feedback gain is obtained from the solution to a quadratic equation with one unknown. The equation is derived from the derivative of the cost function with respect to the local feedback gain. Numerical examples are provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches and to illustrate the geometrical performances of .
